What we count, and who sees a visit

Settled has no accounts, no sign-in and no forms that store what you type. We do not sell or share personal data. This page lists everything that happens when you open a page here.

Google Analytics

We count visits with Google Analytics 4: the pages you open, roughly where you are (country and region), your device and browser, and the site or search that sent you. It sets first-party cookies (named _ga) so a return visit counts as the same visitor. Google says Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.

Counting starts when a page loads. The notice at the bottom of the screen tells you it happens; pressing Got it only hides the notice and does not switch counting on or off. To stop it on every site, use Google’s opt-out add-on or block cookies for this site in your browser. Google’s own use of the data is set out in its privacy policy.

Links to the venues

Links to Kalshi, Polymarket and the other venues carry tags (utm_source=settledmarkets.com and the page you came from) so the venue can see we sent the visit. None of them is a referral link today; if that changes, each one will be labelled where it appears. Once you leave this site, the venue’s own privacy policy applies.

Hosting and fonts

Cloudflare serves and protects the site, so it handles each request, including your IP address, to deliver the page and stop abuse. It may add its own cookieless visit counter. The two typefaces load from Google Fonts, so Google receives the request for them.

Stored in your browser

That you dismissed the notice, so it does not show again. Nothing else.

Advertising

The labelled ad spaces are empty and no ad network loads today. Before one does, this page will say which network and what it collects.

Changes

The date at the top changes whenever this page does.
